About the Authors
Dr. Sartaj Ahmad Allayie, PhD
Dr. Allayie completed his graduation in Science from the University of Kashmir, J&K and completed his MSc, M.Phil and PhD in Zoology from Annamalai University, Chitambaram, Tamil Nadu. He completed the B.Ed programme from the University of Kashmir, Srinagar, J&K. Dr. Allayie joined as a Lecturer in Higher Education Department, Govt. of J&K in 2014 and is actively involved in teaching and research activities. Dr. Allayie is currently working as Assistant Professor (AA) at the Department of Zoology, Govt. Degree College Kulgam, J&K. He has more than 10 years of research and teaching experience in cancer biology, crustacean biology, toxicology, apiculture, physiology and genetics etc. Dr. Allayie has published more than 30 research papers in various national and international peer-reviewed journals. He has published 2 books and is acting as a reviewer in various journals. He has participated in several State, National, and International conferences, seminars, workshops, and symposia, and more than 15 conference papers are to his credit. Dr. Junaid Ahamd Malik, PhD
Dr. Malik did B.Sc. (2008) Science in the University of Kashmir, Srinagar, J&K, M.Sc. (2010) in Zoology from Barkatullah University, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, and Ph.D. (2015) in Zoology from the same university. He completed his B.Ed. programme in 2017 from the University of Kashmir, Srinagar, J&K. He started his career as Lecturer in School Education Department, Govt. of J&K, for 2 years. Dr. Malik is now working as a Lecturer in Department of Zoology, Govt. Degree College, Kulgam, Kashmir (J&K) and actively involved in teaching and research activities. He has more than 8 years of research experience. His areas of interest are ecology, soil macrofauna, wildlife biology, conservation biology, etc. Dr. Malik has published more than 20 research papers in various national and international peer-reviewed journals. He has published 21 books, 37 book chapters, and more than 11 popular editorial articles with various publishers like Springer Nature, Elsevier Inc., Taylor and Francis Group, and IGI Global. Dr. Malik is acting as the Editor-in-Chief of Inventum Biologicum (An International Journal of Biological Research) published by World Biologica, India. He is also serving as editor and reviewer of several journals with a reasonable repute. He has participated in several State, National, and International conferences, seminars, workshops, and symposia, and more than 20 conference papers are to his credit. Prof. Gowhar Rashid, M.Phil
Prof. Gowhar Rashid is currently working as Assistant Professor (Full time) in the department of Zoology, Govt. Degree College Kulgam, J&K from 2010. He has completed M.Phil from Barkatullah University, Bhopal and is presently pursuing PhD in Zoology from Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar, Punjab. He has 15 years of teaching experience and his areas of research are fisheries, aquatic biology, water chemistry and freshwater ecology. He has published 2 books and 7 research papers with different international publishers. Prof. Gowhar is serving as the convevor of the college discipline committee and examination cell. In addition, he is a trained NCC officer and inculcates the leadership qualities, national integration and discipline amongst the cadets in particular and the scholars in general.
