About the Book

This book is the collection of highly selected, peer-reviewed chapters that showcase the research of an international roster of scientists. It explains the complete aspects of nanomaterials with emphasis on synthesis, characterization, and applications. In this important work, an excellent team of international experts provides an exploration of the emerging nanotechnologies that are poised to make the nano-revolution become a reality in the manufacturing sector. The authors present some current and future possible developments in nanotechnology covering many areas as diverse as medicine, energy, electronics, and agriculture. In addition to engineering aspects, the physics, chemistry and biotechnology behind the fabrication and device designing also discussed.

A number of nanotechnology products are available and a tremendous amount of research is still going on at universities, in government, and at research laboratories. Nanotechnology applications are being developed that could impact the global market for agricultural, mineral, and other non-fuel commodities. Currently, nanotechnology is described as a revolutionary discipline in terms of its possible impact on industrial applications. Nanotechnology offers potential solutions to many problems using emerging nanotechniques and this book highlights some of these new developments.
