Lecturer, Department of Environmental Science, Government Degree College, Bijbehara, J & K, India

Khursheed Ahmad Wani, PhD, is a Lecturer in the Department of Environmental Science, Government Degree College, Bijbehara, J & K, India, and is actively involved in teaching and research. He was formerly Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Science ITM University, Gwalior, India, for more than five years. He has more than 13 years of research experience. He has worked in the area of environmental monitoring, occupational health, vermicomposting, and environmental impact assessment. Dr. Wani has published 40 research papers in peer-reviewed journals and has edited or authored books, book chapters, over 50 popular articles, and more than 50 conference abstracts. He has successfully guided five PhD students. He has worked as principal investigator in research projects sanctioned by the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology. He is a member of several national and international organizations and is on the editorial board of various journals. He has organized different programs on environmental awareness and field trips. He has also completed two projects of Indonesian Institute of Sciences, Indonesia. He received his BSc degree from Kashmir University, Srinagar, India; his MSc degree in Environmental Science from Jiwaji University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India; and his PhD in Environmental Science from Jiwaji University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India.
